In the video you just watched, Pastor Charlie ministers on the difference that occurs in our lives when we begin to focus on the promises not the problems. The promises of God are found in His Word! We have to embrace and accept His Word as the final authority in our lives so that we can walk towards the blessing of Kingdom!

The main point that you heard in the video is that “problems keep you trapped, but promises move you forward”. Can you think of a time in your life where this was true? There are so many situations that we run up against in life...sickness, financial issues, etc and we focus so much on the situation, that we lose sight of the solution!

You may or may not remember the story of the lame man in John Chapter 5. The Bible reports that he was lame for 38 years. There was an opportunity for healing that was before him every day when the angel came down to stir the waters (v4). When Jesus came by and asked him the question of promise – “Do you want to be made well”, the man responded from a problem position. He told Jesus “I have no man to put me in the pool”

The truth is, this is what most of us do! We wait for others to come and solve our problems instead of looking to Jesus and the promises of His Word. If we let it, the problem will keep us trapped where we are. Now is the time for us to reach out our hand and let the God of promise lead us forward.

Additional Material

Additional Scriptures to Read: 2 Peter 1:1-8, Hebrews 8:4-13, 2 Corinthians 1:18-2

Journal Thought: What problem are you trapped in right now? Take some time and find 5 promises in the scripture that combat that problem. Then, mediate on these promises and let God speak revelation to you to write down.
