In the video you just watched, Pastor Charlie talked about the concept that the Word of God is alive! That is so hard for many people to understand because the Bible is seen as just a book…just ink on a page.

The gospel of John however, declares clearly that the Jesus Christ is the Word! In the very beginning of his Gospel, John indicates that “and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14)! Later in His life, John writes - “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one”.
(1 John 5:7). There is no doubt that John understood Jesus is alive and that Jesus is the Word. Based on this, we can declare with confidence, that the WORD OF GOD is alive!

When we approach the Word like this, it will change all aspects of our relationship with God. We will see the Bible as not just a book, but the very words of our living, breathing Savior speaking to us in the here and now. Our entire world will be opened up for change as we embrace a true relationship with the Word because we see it as active and alive.

Dead things don’t seem to have much power! If we can come alive to the fact that the Word is not dead BUT alive, we can have power operate in our lives! Let’s not fall victim to underestimating the Word of God because through it, we can experience hope, life and resurrection power! Begin to declare the Word today because IT IS ALIVE!
